Our story
Born on the Camino
My name is Gustavo and I live in O Porriño, a Galician village the Portuguese Way crosses every morning. From here I see pilgrims go by every day: in the rain, in the sun, with blisters and with a kind of hope you can recognise from far away.
Watching them go by gave me a simple idea: the Camino ends, but it shouldn't be forgotten. Photos get lost in the camera roll, notes stay on paper napkins, and two years later all that's left is "it was amazing". A journey that changes lives deserved a keepsake to match.
Waymino is designed in Galicia, right on the Portuguese Way, and tested on foot before it's sold: the first photos I ran through the system were my own, from the stretch between O Porriño and Redondela. The band is made by a workshop that specialises in silicone; I choose the materials, approve every batch and stand behind it. Few units, numbered, and one promise: your memories are yours, forever.
I'm building this in the open
The Founders Edition is 200 bands. I have them at home and I'm selling them while sharing the whole process: what it costs, what works and what doesn't. If you'd like to see it from the inside, it's on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
And if you have any questions before buying, write to me at hola@waymino.com. I reply myself.
