FAQ

Do I need to install an app?

No. Hold your phone near the band and your journal opens. It works with Android phones with NFC and iPhone XS or later (2018 onwards). If you have an older iPhone, write to us and we'll send you a direct link to your journal: nobody is left out.

How is my Founder number assigned?

In order of purchase: the sooner you buy, the lower your number. The 200 are assigned by order date, from 001 to 200. You can't pick one: we tell you in the shipping email, and it's embroidered on the backpack tag and written on your founder card, only in this edition.

When will my band arrive?

Orders ship within 48 working hours with Correos, with tracking. Every band is programmed and checked by hand before it ships. The Founders Edition is a one-off run of 200 units that will never be reissued.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. For other destinations, the shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay. For now we don't ship to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla; if you live there, write to hola@waymino.com and we'll let you know as soon as we can.

What if I have no signal in the hills?

Your photos and notes are saved on your phone and upload on their own when the signal comes back. There are stretches of the Camino with no coverage; we know because we walk it.

Can it handle rain and showers?

Yes. Water-resistant silicone. Put it on on day 1 and don't take it off until the Obradoiro.

Are my photos private?

Completely. Your journal is yours: private by default, and you decide what to share. You can export or delete everything whenever you want. We follow the GDPR with care, because these are your memories.

Can I return it if I'm not happy?

Yes. You have the legal 14-day withdrawal period from delivery and, on top of that, we give you up to 30 days to return it with no questions asked. If your order hasn't shipped yet, you can cancel it at any time for a full refund. Details are in our returns policy.

Does it get me the Compostela?

No — that's what the official pilgrim document is for, the one you get stamped along the way. Waymino is something else: your personal keepsake. The official document proves you arrived; Waymino lets you relive it.
